Regan family search My name is Tim Regan and I live in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. My wife, three children and I just had a delightful eight day visit to Ireland that included a very quick stop in Carracastle to search the cemetery at St. James Church for ancestors. I found lots of Regans but I am not sure we are related to any of them. Our genealogy shows my Great-Great Grandfather as James Regan (approx. 1800-1870) living in Coppulcorragh with his wife Anne (approx. 1801-1885). Their children were John (my G read more
Wanting Tiernan and Clossick Family History We will be visiting Ireland June and July of 2010 and I was in hopes of stopping at Carracastle and trying to find some family. My great-grandmother Mary Ellen Tiernan was the daughter of James Tiernan and Honora Clossick. Mary Ellen was born in 1860 and lived on a farm in that area until she married Owen Killoran in an arranged marriage in 1890. They came to America in 1900. If anyone has information about Tiernan or Clossick family history, could you please get in touch with me. M read more
