Bella: You were made Captain? You scored 1,000 goals? You are being bought by Arsenal? Cian: Eh not exactly!! I did get asked to coach the under 8’s for the new year though!! Bella: What are you going to do with them on the first training night? Cian: Well I was just thinking that myself. I had so many ideas and then Ms Collins began our weekly work on the Gospel. This Sunday’s Gospel is about the beginning. How Jesus was sent from God to love us through life. Jesus gave us all the power ‘to become children of God’. Suddenly I realised that I could learn from John’s Gospel how to begin to coach the under 8’s. What I really needed to do was to tell the story of Gaelic and how we have had many amazing players throughout history but that my under 8’s could be the best yet! How can you show the world that you are a child of God? |
