The Rooskey Community Party will take place on Saturday 2 nd Jan in Benson’s after 8pm Mass in Rooskey Church. Music by: Kevin Henry. Large hamper and various other spot prizes to be raffled. All in the Community are welcome. The usual help would be greatly appreciated. Hope to see you all there.

to everyone who has played a part in making Christmas so meaningful for us all; to the sacristans, those who put the cribs in place and decorated them, to those who decorated our Churches during Advent and for Christmas, to those who provided christmas trees and to those who put them and the lights in place; to those who provided flowers and to those who arranged them; to the choirs, organist, youth group, readers, ministers of the eucharist, collectors, servers & those who carried forward the gifts.

2009 draws to a close
: Thank You to all parishioners for your commitment to the parish of Carracastle/Rooskey throughout the past year. Thanks to those who have carried out the various ministries; to the sacristans, the choir, the organist, readers, ministers of the eucharist, servers, collectors, those who did the offertory procession, to those who provided flowers and to those who arranged them. Thanks to the Parish Pastoral Council, the St. Joseph's cluster representatives and to those who did child protection training for the parish. Thank you to all who helped prepare for special occasions in the parish. Thank you to the principals and staff of Scoil Iosa & St. Joseph's, to the pre-school and after school for their great commitment to the children of our parish. Thanks to those on the RSS scheme for their help to the parish. Thank you to all who are part of the various groups and organisations that contribute so much to the local area and to carracastle.com for the service it provides.

2010 is a Holy Year
in Santiago de Compostela. The “Way of St. James” has been an important pilgrmage for many years. There are 18 parishes of St. James in Ireland including Carracastle. Marian pilgrimage from 19th – 27th July will be in Santiago de Compostela for the weekend over the Saints feast day- 25th July. Cost per person €1,250 per person (Including taxes & insurances), single supplement €25 per night. Contact 018788159, www.marian.ie

Charlestown Athletic FC are holding their Youths Awards Preaentations in the Yeats County Inn, Curry on Monday December 28th at 5.oopm.All teams Under 10-U16 are invited to attend.The Club's Buffet Dance will take place also on December 28th in the Yeats County Inn, Curry.Tickets cost 30euro each and 50euro / couple. A great night is guaranteed.

Accord:
Marriage Preparation courses can be booked on the Accord website at www.accord.ie or by telephoning the Charlestown office on 094 9254944. Office hours are from 10am to 1pm, Monday to Friday and courses can be booked during office hours. Couples are advised that it is necessary to book their Marriage Preparation course when they book the Church. It is recommended that couples complete the course at least nine months prior to their wedding.
