Haiti Earthquake – All parishes are requested to hold a special collection and forward the proceeds to Trocaire. The Offertory collection both envelopes and loose change taken up on the week-end of Sat/Sun Jan. 30/31 will be forwarded as our parish response to the needs of the Haitian people.

Senior Citizens Annual Party & Dinner
is on this Sun 24th Jan. 3pm – 6pm in the Community Centre. Admission €10. Phone 094 9861036.

The Rooskey Community Party will take place on Sat 30th Jan. in Benson’s after 8pm Mass in Rooskey Church. Music by: Kevin Henry. Large hamper and various other spot prizes to be raffled. All in the Community are welcome. The usual help would be greatly appreciated. Hope to see you all there.

Catholic schools week 2010 –
All grandparents of the children attending Scoil Iosa are invited to the school on Wed. Feb. 3rd, Feast of St. Blaise at 11am to celebrate catholic schools week. There will be a short prayer service including blessing of the throat followed by light refreshments.

Caiseal Gaels Hurling Club
are collecting Daily Mail tokens for a free kit and would appreciate it if you would drop your tokens in to the box in Davys. Your support would be appreciated.

Band Practice
on Mon. night at 9pm followed by meeting at 10pm. All members please attend.

80s Disco for Breast Cancer Ireland
on Saturday 13th Feb. at 9pm in the Fiddlers Elbow, Ballaghaderreen. Proceeds to Breast Cancer Ireland. Adm €10. Great prizes and refreshments. All-Ireland Talent Show –
Ballyhaunis Community School Student, Olwyn Murray, is representing the West on Sun.night on RTE1 at 6.30, you are requested to support Olwyn by voting for her on the night.
Mayo Citizens Information Service will hold an outreach on Wed. January 27 th 2010 at The Cosgallen Office, Charlestown from 9.45am to 11.30am. Contact 094-9255070.

The next outreach session of Citizens Information will be held at North West Roscommon CDP, Market St, Ballaghaderreen on 27 January from 10am to 12.45pm.

The Internet Cafe for Over 50s will be held at North West Roscommon CDP, Market St, Ballaghaderreen from 10am to 1pm until further notice.

Adult Education Spring Classes. Languages, Sean Nos Dancing, Art or Gardening. Classes are held for a total of sixteen hours, two hours per night, one night a week for eight weeks. Cost of course is €30, it is part funded by the VEC. Phone 094 9255070
