Parish Pastoral Council: Meeting on Tuesday September 22nd @ 8.30 in Carracastle Church

Mayo Mental Health – Thank you to all who gave so generously to the recent chuchgate collection, a total of €411.70 was raised.

Red Cross – A practical first aid course will be held in the Phoenix Youth Centre, Ballaghadeereen starting 25th September for four weeks at 7.30pm to 10.30pm. Open to all. Details 086 6482329 .

Friendship Group will start back September 23rd – 11.30am to 1.30pm in the Community Centre. New members always welcome.

World Heart Day 2009 : A walk to mark World Heart Day 2009,on Sunday 27th September Starting from the Community Centre at 3.00pm.Length of walk 12km or 7 miles.Tea and refreshments in the Community Centre afterwards. All welcome.

Hospice Coffee Morning: Amoun raised at Carracastle Childcare Service was €247.15. Many thanks to all who supported.

Course for one Parent Families: A Course for people who are parenting alone will be held in Cosgallen CDP starting in September. This course will be held one morning per week for approximately 10 weeks. The course is free and has been funded by Mayo VEC. If you are interested in taking part please contact us on 094 -9255070

Intensive Tuition Adult Basic Education Course. An Intensive Tuition Adult Basic Education course for people who have not acquired a junior certificate standard of education and who wish to train to get back into the workplace will be held (subject to numbers) in Cosgallen CDP, Charlestown. The course is free and will cover the following subjects: Communications, Personal Development, Maths and Computers. The course will be held in Cosgallen CDP three hours a day twice a week for fourteen weeks. The course is funded by Mayo VEC. For more information phone Cosgallen Office on 094-9255070.

Citizens Information Centre. Mayo Citizens Information Service will hold an outreach on Wednesday September 23 rd 2009 at The Cosgallen Office, The Enterprise Centre, Airport Road, Charlestown from 9.45am to 11.30am. The outreach is held on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month. The service is free and confidential and a wide range of areas are covered including Consumer Rights, Employment Rights, Social Welfare, Taxation and Disability Information. A walk to mark the Irish Heart Foundation World Heart Day will take place on Tuesday next September 22nd 2009. The meeting place is Cosgallen CDP Charlestown and the walk will commence at 11am.
