O ur Thanks to the pupils of 3rd & 4th class from Scoil Iosa for presenting the Nativity play- called 'Baboushka'- this Sat. even. after 8.00 Mass & to all the pupils for their singing of carols. A great achievement by drama teacher Margaret Niland with just one practice on Fri.- for the children to do this in a setting different to what they are used to at school. Christmas Choir preparation following 11.30 mass this Sunday. Youth group with instruments will sing a solo carol and join with choir Christmas Night. Thanks to all. St. Vincent de Paul: Thank you to all who contributed to the St. Vincent de Paul collections held at both Churches. €450 was collected at Carracastle and € 318 at Rooskey. The Community Council thank all who helped organise the sale of work held in the Community Centre last Sunday and to all those who donated items, €617.35 was raised for the Sports Field and € 500.50c was raised for the indoor and outdoor soccer fund. 2010 Local Directory & Calendar produced by the Band available, free. Self Help Africa collection: Thank you to all who contributed to the self help collection, total amount received was €285. Accord: Marriage Preparation courses can be booked on the Accord website at www.accord.ie or by telephoning the Charlestown office on 094 9254944. Office hours are from 10am to 1pm, Monday to Friday and courses can be booked during office hours. Couples are advised that it is necessary to book their Marriage Preparation course when they book the Church. It is recommended that couples complete the course at least nine months prior to their wedding. Charlestown Athletic FC are holding their Youths Awards Presentations in the Yeats County Inn, Curry on Monday December 28th at 5.oopm.All teams Under 10-U16 are invited to attend. The Club's Buffet Dance will take place also on December 28th in the Yeats County Inn, Curry.Tickets cost 30euro each and 50euro / couple. A great night is guaranteed.
