Fence broken down A section of the concrete post & rail fence (left side) at the end of the way into the Cemetery was broken down- 2 posts uprooted, some rails smashed. This spot has been used to tip the cut grass, but is being used (without permission) to dump concrete kerbs, etc. from graves being refurbished & waste from where new headstones are erected. We wish to know who is responsible for the damage to the fence. Please if you saw activity there, or when you noticed the fence broken, please contact Fr. Caulfield.

Congratulations to Oisin Quigley, Killaville pupil at Rooskey N.S., who on Wed. morning made his First Penance. School Pupils came to the Mass & for the Sacrament after.

Choir Practice again this Thurs. at 7.30 in Rooskey Church. Brain Cahill will be coming.

Successful Rooskey Mobile Phone Appeal The success in achieving the target of 500 phones- to exchange for a defibrillator- owes to the determination of the women & men who went door to door, & by their family in other places, managing to prompt a response to yield almost 200 & make up the shortfall in time. Thank you to all who delivered, sent in or posted the phones. Congrats to Committee.

Rooskey Community meeting in Benson's this Thurs. 21st., at 8.30, regarding the future of our village (school & church). A committee will be elected to manage future projects to keep the village alive. Please support.

Wheelchair access to Rooskey N.S. A concrete ramp has recently been constructed at the door on Padraig Duffy's side.

Confirmation over there are several projects to attend to: in June, to elect/ form a Parish Pastoral Council. This is being done in our Cluster of parishes- Bohola, Carracastle, Charlestown, Kilmovee/Kilkelly, Kiltimagh, Swinford- which has taken the name 'St. Joseph's Cluster'. A yellow leaflet 'Working towards a Pastoral Council' was attached to the Newsletter in Feb.
Plans for the interior of Rooskey Church have just been drawn up- to dry-line lower areas of the walls & prepare for painting.
The concrete path into Carracastle Church is to be redone.
