Week of prayer for Christian Unity 18th – 25th Jan: The theme chosen is 'You are witnesses of these things' (LK 24:48) We are already witnesses and this week invites us to become better witnesses. How?

by praising the One who gives us the gift of life and resurrection (Day 1)
by knowing how to share the story of our faith with others (Day 2)
by recognising that God is at work in our lives (Day 3)
by giving thanks for the faith we have received (Day 4)
by confessing Christ's victory over all suffering (Day 5)
by seeking to always be more faithful to the Word of God (Day 6)
by growing in faith, hope and love (Day 7)
by offering hospitality and knowing how to receive it when it is offered to us (Day 8)

Senior Citizens Annual Party & Dinner will now take place on Sunday 24th January 3pm – 6pm in the Community Centre, postponed from Jan. 17th. Admission €10. Please give names as soon as possible. Phone 094 9861036.

Catholic schools week 2010 – All grandparents of the children attending Scoil Iosa are invited to the school on Wed. Feb. 3rd, Feast of St. Blaise, to celebrate catholic schools week. There will be a short prayer service including blessing of the throat followed by light refreshments.

Congratulations to the committee and staff of the pre and after-school on being selected in the final 3 of the AIB Better Ireland Programme, more details later.

Adult Education Classes. Cosgallen CDP are currently organising our Adult Education Spring Classes. If you have a particular class that you would like to participate in please phone 094 9255070 for example Languages, Computers, Sean Nos Dancing, Art or Gardening. The adult education classes are held for a total of sixteen hours, two hours per night, one night a week for eight weeks. The cost of the course is €30. The course is part funded by the VEC.

Bus Service to Breast Check Services in Roscommon. A bus is being made available for women attending screening services who have no other means of transport. If you require a place on this bus please ring North West Roscommon CDP on 094 9862565 before 30 January.

Care and Repair Project for Older People. This project is looking for volunteers in the Ballaghaderreen area to carry out minor repairs in the homes of older people. For more information on volunteering or to use the service for minor repairs contact Mary on 094 9621644.
