Eucharistic Ministers training course
for new Ministers 1st, 8th, 15th & 22nd March. If you would like to nominate someone please put name in offertory basket or hand into parochial house.

Exposition of Blessed Sacrament
3 – 5pm in both churches on Sundays during Lent. Eucharistic Ministers are requested to please sign sheets in Churches to Expose and Repose Blessed Sacrament and to please find a replacement if something turns up that they cannot fulfil the promised time.

Holy Week –
The Parish Pastoral Council meeting last Tuesday discussed Holy Week and the Church's teaching that the whole community in a parish be together in one celebration of each of the Holy Week cermonies, the most important celebrations of the Church's year. It is proposed to celebrate Holy Week cermonies in the following way: Holy Thursday 8pm in Rooskey Church, Good Friday 3pm in Carracastle Church, 7.30pm Stations of the Cross in Rooskey Church, Holy Saturday 9pm in Carracastle Church, Easter Sunday usual mass times in Rooskey and Carracastle.

Trocaire -
The theme of Trocaire's Lenten Campaign is 'Give us this day Our Daily Bread'. The focus is on Domitille a six year old girl from Rawanda and her family as they face the daily challenges of absolute poverty. Further information and box available at Churches doors.

Thanks is expressed to Éilis Marren, Shannon Kelly & Eilish Dearie for their help with the girls indoor soccer and to Martin Owens for his continued support to the boys indoor soccer. More involvement would be very much appreciated.

Computer Course –
It is hoped to run another computer course in the community centre starting in March. Max numbers is five per lesson. The hope is to run a daytime course starting at 11.00am to 12.30pm,and one in the evenings from 8.00pm to 10.00 pm. Anyone interested please phone 087 9435036 and make known your preference ie daytime or evening.

Carracastle Community Childcare
have been selected in the final 3 of the AIB Better Ireland Awards, the next step is a voting system by text or online. To vote by text..Text SWINFORD followed by a space, followed by B to 51303 and to vote online..Click on www.betterireland.ie , select Swinford branch and choose your group. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

Band practice
on Sun. 1pm in Charlestown and Mon. night 9pm in Carracastle plus A.G.M on Mon. night 1st March at 10pm.

No meeting this Friday night due to school holidays.

Charlestown Athletic Football Club
Due to the low attendance (5 children out of 88 represented) at the AGM held on Sunday 6 th Feb., no new Committee or Managers for the 2010 season was forthcoming with the result that Charlestown Athletic FC has now closed down . If the Club is to re-open for 2010 season genuine interest needs to be shown by latest 18 th Feb. or the Club will remain closed this season. Outgoing Committee members can be contacted.

Pantomime
Swinford Variety Group presents the pantomime Alladin in Scoil Muire agus Padraig School Hall, Swinford on this Wed. 17th, Thurs. 18th and Fri. 19th Feb. at 8.30pm each night.


Widow’s Group
