A Meeting of the newly formed Parish Pastrol Councils of St. Josephs cluster will take place in the Gateway Hotel on Wednesday 16th Sept. at 8pm. All members please attend.

Sandra Claxton , HSE West, Informtion & Advice Officer Children First Castlebar has organised a course on child protection for the parish representaties of our diocese on the last three Wednesdays of September, (16th, 23rd and 30th, from 7pm to 9.30pm) in the Pastoral Centre Charlestown. We need some more representatives from our Parish.

A farewell function has been organised for Fr. Caulfield for Friday Sept.18th at 8.30 in Carracastle Community centre for the whole community. Individual donations can be given in sealed envelopes to Teresa Quinn for Carracastle & Attracta Gallagher for Rooskey. Community groups from Carracastle and Rooskey are contributing to food & entertainment on the night. Music will be provided by Mary Kathleen.

Harvest Collection: Sincere thanks for contributions so far and also for continued contributions to the Living Faith. The total amount contributed so far to the Living Faith is €38,540.

Widows Group: Cosgalln CDP have been contacted by a number of local widows who wish to meet people in a similar situation with a view to forming a group. Caiseal Gaels U-13 County Final : Congratulations to the team and to their trainers on a wonderful victory over Tooreen on Wed. even last winning 6-02 to 1-02. A great achievement for all involved. Continued success to them.

Caiseal Gaels U-12: Well done to the U-12 team who also had a great victory over Claremorris..score 5-5 to 3-1. They are playing Moytura this Sunday in Ballinrobe.

Junior Cert Results: Congratulations to all who received their results during the week. Hope everyone was satisfied and best wishes for the future.

Course for one Parent Families: A Course for people who are parenting alone will be held in September. This course will be held one morning per week for approximately 10 weeks. Intensive Tuition Adult Basic Education Course: An Intensive Tuition Adult Basic Education course for people who have not acquired a junior certificate standard of education and who wish to train to get back into the workplace will be held (subject to numbers) in Cosgallen CDP, Charlestown. The course is free and will cover the following subjects: Communications, Personal Development, Maths and Computers.
