Mission Sunday: Next Sunday marks the annual worldwide Catholic celebration of Mission Sunday, the theme for which is Reach Out. Our prayers and donations on Mission sunday help to support mission projects and allow Catholic communities worldwide to become self-sufficient and progress according to their own needs and traditions.

Highlights from the Irish Catholic: Fr. Tierney continues his extraodinary diary as he chronicles his journey with cancer and Dr. John Sharry, a child and family psychotherapist,to mark Parents Week (Oct. 5-11 ) gives advice on how to deal with one of the toughest aspects of parenting – children's tantrums.

We pray God's blessing on the children preparing for First Penance &First Holy Communion,on their families,on their teacher and on the whole parish as 'Do This In Memory' begins this weekend.

Wedding Anniversary- Congratulations & Best Wishes to Brendan & Sheila O'Hara, Castleduff on the occasion of their 40th Wedding Anniversary, married in St. Barnabas Cathedral Nottingham on 11th October 1969.

Living Rosary – Thank you to all who participated in the Living Rosary on Wed. night last as an encouragement to family prayer. Hopefully the week of family prayer will help to continue or renew prayer in the home.

Ladies/gents/childrens clothes & footwear also towels, sheets, blankets etc. for Dochas Nasamu which is an Irish registered charity that funds the Dochas Nasamu Orphanage for Children with aids in Ikumbi, Niarobi, Kenya.

Citizens Information Centre.M ayo Citizens Information Service will hold an outreach on Wednesday October 14 th 2009 at The Cosgallen Office, The Enterprise Centre, Airport Road, Charlestown from 9.45am to 11.30am. The next outreach session of Citizens Information will be held on 14 Oct from 10am to 12.45pm at North West Roscommon CDP, Market St, Ballaghaderreen.
