Pentecost Collection to thank you very much for your kind contributions & faithful giving to the Priest's support last weekend & this.

Priests Retreat for Achonry Diocese will be from Sun. eve 21st. to Thurs. 25th.

A Parish Pastoral Council is parishioners sharing responsibility with the priest for the care & future of the parish. It encourages persons & groups in the parish to develop /contribute their gifts & talents. It seeks to develop a welcoming parish, an environment where faith gets the best chance to to meet the needs of the community, & bring enthusiasm & hope to lives. Between Sun. 21st & Sun. 28th. the 6 Parishes of our cluster will be holding an election for nominations, to have one Pastoral Council in each parish, comprised of 6 to 10 members. The usual term of office is for 3 years. There will be training provided in the Cluster in Sept. A leaflet to explain more will be available next weekend.

Cemetery Mass will be at 11.30 on Sunday 2nd. August- Bank holiday weekend.

Cemetery - strimming- cutting of grass began on Thurs. front section near road. There is a good crop- a shame to dump it. Anyone who wants to rake it up & take it away is welcome. Anyone who can come besides to do some raking up- voluntary help- would be a great help. Youths on holidays, if you can give a few hours on any of the coming days, rakes provided.

'Free Childcare Places ' on Mon. 8 June at 8pm in Carracastle Childcare. Angela Cope from Mayo County Childcare will give information about this scheme- announced in the Budget. Very important that parents of pre-school children or younger attend, to avail of this info.

Childcare drop-in service for the month of July, at Carracastle Childcare, from 9am- 6pm. Subvention rates apply. All children welcome. Booking of children is essential so that staff can facilitate all age groups. New equipment has being purchased to enhance the service.
The playground should not to be entered or used out of service hours unless aurtorised by a Committee member. CCTV Security Cameras are now in place. 086-2542490/087-6308308.

A Summer Camp with a difference will be held from 27 to 31 July at Carracastle Childcare. To run each day 10 to 3pm catering for Pre & After-school children. Creative activites. Fun. North West Roscommon - looking for volunteers in the Ballaghaderreen area to undertake handy-person services, minor household repairs, minor gardening tasks & home visits in the homes of older people. Part of Roscommon Care & Repair Project hosted by Roscommon Women's Network to create a pool of volunteers to carry out small repairs for older people. Glasgow Celtic Charlestown Athletic is hosting a summer soccer camp in Bellaghy Park from 29 June to 3 July, daily at 10am to 3pm. Each participant gets a free adult & child ticket to a selected Celtic game next season plus the benefit of top class coaching & fun competitions from Celtic coaches for the 5-day camp.
