Pine Martens seen in Cloonfane We have had Pine Martens visiting our garden during the past year. They usually come out after dusk, but during the cold spells this winter, they came out early afternoon, and we were able to film them. I have uploaded a few of the photos to a gallery. Caiseal Gaels, Carracastle Juvenile Hurling Club Caiseal Gaels , Carracastle Juvenile Hurling Club was established in November 2008. Our membership is in the region of 80 members and growing. This year Caiseal Gaels has entered teams in U-8, U-10, U-12,U-13, U-14 grades club competitions. Prizewinners Poster Competition Cosgallen recently held a poster colouring competition in conjunction with an anti litter campaign. There were a large number of entries and a large number of national schools took part. The standard was very high and the judges found it extremely difficult to judge the winners. Foroige Club Award Carracastle Foróige Club, Mayo fundraised for the
past two years to buy a defibrillator for the community.
They organised
and hosted interclub discos, held
cake and plant sales and a sponsored walk.
Six members have now been
trained to use the life saving equipment.
